Gap gauge made of brass with handle, just fits over ends of bar at room temperature. It includes two holes which just accept the ends of the bar. The bar won’t fit the gap gauge when heated.

This radiometer works like a solar engine and converts light into motion and demonstrates radial heat. An evacuated glass bulb contains a fine pivot at its center which supports four light weight metal arms, each carrying a vane of mica with one side blackened. Expose the bulb to the sunlight or the high light levels and you can watch the vanes spin as the black sides absorb more heat than the white ones.

It consists of a brass ring and a brass ball of about 25mm dia, both mounted on a separate metal rod with wooden handles or mounted on a single rod with the ball attached with the metal rod with the help of a chain. When cool the brass ball passes easily through the matching brass ring; when hot it wont go through.

To show the maximum density of water, a metal cylinder with two tubulures in the lower and upper part for carrying thermometers is mounted on a base and encircled midway along its length by a gallery for holding a mixture of ice and salt. Temperature of the water is measured at the top and bottom of the inner cylindrical vessel over a period as the water cools. Thermometers not included.

It consists of an aluminum alloy cylinder of 63mm dia and 50mm high with a slanting hole of 7mm dia drilled in the top for a thermometer. The melting point can be recorded by placing the sample of substance on the top of the cylinder and heating it gently with a Bunsen Burner.
